The most noticeable sign of cancer is the loss of hair due to the effects of chemo therapy. I have several family members and friends who have looked this disease in the face, shaved their heads, donned scarves or wigs (whichever they chose) put on makeup and jewelry and gave this disease the finger. These amazing women stared this disease down, tightened their resolve and won. This piece is a tribute to their courage and strength and beauty in spite of adversity.
I don't paint anything I have to explain.

Impressive composition. Nicely done.

Thank you so much. My sister in law is battling cancer and this was in support of her and the millions of others battling this disease.
