Artist's Description
Had I only known who Selma Burke was as I rode past her art center each day in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh. Had I only known, I could have learned from the woman who designed the picture of Franklin Roosevelt that appears on the US Dime. This is a quick study of Selma Burke done in gouache in honor of Black History month.
