When I was a child, my grandfather decided to take 8 of his grandchildren and our parents on vacation to a lake in Ontario, Canada. The plan was to rent 2 cabins for the adults and the children would stay in the tent. We were to spend the days fishing, hiking and having outdoor fun. In spite of the fact that it was August, the weather got bitterly cold and it even snowed, we were miserable, it being too cold to sleep in the tent, we all crammed into the cabins. We finally left after only a few days. I have never been fond of camping since.
